I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For

Ice Cream is a wonderful thing, I realized a few short days ago while finishing a sugar cone with two scoops of mint oreo. It's cool, refreshing, widely available, and can be eaten as a garnish or by itself. How versatile.

I rarely crave ice cream in winter months because I'm already quite cold enough, thank you, but as soon as summer weather kicks in, I'm a regular at JP Licks in Jamaica Plain. JP Licks became my ice parlor of choice when I learned they regularly serve Moose Tracks, a cloying flavor which combines vanilla ice cream with fudge swirls and miniature chocolate peanut-butter cups. Of course, Moose Tracks is available at the supermarket, but it's considerably less fantastic than that scooped directly from the case.

Brighams is my fave. - No thrills, no gimmics. Just great ice cream.

Lizzy’s is the best. I checked out their new Harvard Square location and it has all the amazing homemade ice cream they have in Waltham. It’s also a heck of lot cleaner in Lizzy’s (Waltham & Cambridge) than most ice cream places. You could lick a scoop off the floor …
