The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie: Episode I

The quest begins! This evening I sampled a chocolate chip cookie from Flour, the oh-so-trendy South End bakery.

My thoughts:

Chewiness: Adquately chewy but in a disconcerting clingy way; the cookie came apart in clumpy chunks each time a bit was had.
Texture: Very sweet, moist; slightly oily as if it had been taken out of the oven too early.
Chip Quality: Top rate. Chips were of the Scharffenberger variety with a high cocoa content.
MMM Factor: Decidedly lacking. Resembled something from, dare I say it, Au Bon Pain?

Overall Grade: 6
